A more sustainable wine: Benziger Family Winery
Y'all know I like off the beaten path wineries. Benziger Family Winery is legit. The family makes sustainable, biodynamic wine to preserve biodiversity. ALSO, the wine is delicious. I'm a huge fan of their Cabernet and full bodied Merlot.
I appreciate companies that pay attention to sustainability and have social responsibilities - even when they're not required to.
The Venue
The property is atop a hill and it is absolutely gorgeous. The hills are lined with flowers, and the grounds are full of life - lot's of happy little honey bees.
Cost
The cost of the tastings are very affordable -and the wine is tasty. You'll spend $10-25
We were at the winery for a joint event with Blue Apron. Blue Apron is starting to include Benziger wine in their delivery. It's perfect for when you don't want to pop open a whole bottle.
Would I come back? Definitely - the property is beautiful, the tasting is affordable, and the wine is good.
