Nov 15 London Italian Food

This last time I went to London, I ate so much Italian food in London that I felt like I could never eat it again. AND I LOVE Italian food. I came back to the US for 2 weeks & I’m fully recovered. These are the Italian places in London you should try. Bring it on.

Luca

I had such high expectations for this place since it has a Michelin Star. It was good, but it was not memorable or mind blowing. Like right now- I can’t remember any of the dishes I ate there.

Gloria

Dude. This place was amazing. The pizza was fab, and the pasta was unique. The decor is phenomenal. It has everything: the food, the drinks, the vibes.

Campania

The first time I went to Campania was the first time I went to London. I died and came back to life. That is how good the food was. I will go to this restaurant every time I visit London. This is place has classic Italian food made REALLY REALLY well, and their wines are amazing! So good that I took a photo of the bottle. It’s also in my favorite area in London: Shoreditch. Seriously one of my top favorite restaurants. My mouth is watering as I type. Get the Tiramisu. I cry a single tear when I eat this. Their menu changes. This time they had a paradelle and a seafood pasta and my. MIND. WAS. BLOWN. This was at the tail end of my Italian food binge, but it somehow HEALED by body and mind.

La Mama Mia

Notting Hill is SO CUTE. My new favorite London neighborhood- outside of Shoreditch. This place is run by a bunch of Italian grandmas and the food is pretty good. I think the pizza was better than the sauce, which was a little salty, but the pasta were AMAZING.

Manteca

The pasta here is done WELL. The menu boasts many unique options. I ordered 3 pasta dishes between the 2 of us. The waitress suggested an app & I was like “nah - 3 pastas- thanks”. I loved 2 of the 3 pastas. Like I said, the pasta is done well. The sauces tasted a little similar to each other. This was also in my fave neighborhood- Shoreditch.
