Out of all the Hawaiian islands, Kauai has a young, hip, adventurous vibe. However, I’m more of a seal at the beach vibe. So I skipped the hardcore hike and day treks mixed in a bit of beaching, food, and nature & came up with my list of favorites.

5 Things to Do in Oahu for Last Minute Travelers
Here’s a no-frills Oahu itinerary for the beach bum that wants to get a little bit of exercise in. OH- if you’re a last minute planner- make sure you AT LEAST book Kualoa Ranch. And if you’re a smarty pants, you’ll also book a reservation at Hanuma Bay, which I wasn’t able to visit because I did not plan well. I digress.

Ok, Hawaii is pretty dope.
Prior to visiting, I was always told that Hawaii is gorgeous, but super touristy and expensive. EVERYONE has an opinion on what time of year to go and for how long. Forget what they say and just go - I went in April for 5 days and it was amazing. It’s a 5 hour flight from the Bay and totally worth visiting if you’re on the West Coast. It is GORGEOUS and the poke is LIT.
