Day 8 Milford Sound Flight + Cruise

Milford Sound makes you feel like: what is Earth & am I even on it right now? 

I know you probably thought I wasn't going to finish my New Zealand series, but you're wrong. I'm still trudging along. 

Welcome to Middle Earth- you made it!

We flew from a town outside of Queenstown on a teeny tiny Sesna. The ride was rough, but the views were fantastic. 

Usually the sound is cloudy and rainy, and you need to bring a tourist poncho or a rain jacket. We were lucky and it was perfectly sunny.​

When you're on the water, it gets suuuuper windy, so it's good to have a windbreaker. Also, hold on to your glove. This is how I lost mine. ​

Was it worth it? The trip definitely hurt my wallet, but the experience was breathtaking.
