Ram Don: a dish from the movie Parasite

I watched Parasite, and all I could think about afterwards is: HOW CAN I MAKE RAM DON?

So I ran to Ranch 99 and got some ingredients.

Ingredients:

• 1 Neoguri

• 1 Chapagetti - one time I couldn’t find this so I got Japanese “spicy sesame” ramen

• 2 cloves of garlic

• 4 chopped up Shiitake (for “fun)

• 2 green onions chopped finely

• 1 Tbsp Mirin / Rice Vinegar

• 1 Sirloin Steak

• Salt

• Pepper

How do I make it?

1. Bring 5 cups of water to a boil.

2. Chop sirloin steak into smaller pieces and coat with mirin, salt, and pepper.

3. Cook sirloin on cast iron.

4. Once the steak is cooked, boil ramen noodles for 2 mins. DO NOT ADD spices.

5. Roast minced garlic on cast iron. Move to separate plate.

6. Cook shiitake in cast iron.

7. Dump out most of the ramen water- just leave enough to cover the cooked noodles.

8. Add your spices and boil the water down further until it coats the noodles in a creamy sauce.

9. Mix steak, chopped green onions, noodles, and garlic and enjoy immediately.
