Mago Colombian Cuisine Oakland

Mago is a Columbian restaurant tucked in Oakland’s Rockridge neighborhood. I tired the abbreviated tasting menu & it was great!

Food: 8/10

Ambiance: Fancy backyard vies - 8/10

Would I go back? Yes. I would go back and try the full tasting menu.

What I ate: The menu changes often, so this is what I remember. I also got a cocktail, which was good.

• Arepa y Black Garbanzo Beans: These were delicious. I wish I could eat ten more.

• Broccolini multiple ways- This was my least favorite because it was served cold. The sauce under it tasted good.

• Cod: The cod was cooked beautifully and the jus was amazing.

• Pork: Again, this was cooked beautifully and the sauce was a dream

• Sorbet: The sorbet was amazing, but I was upset that we were already done with the main courses

• Chocolate Brittle dessert: The cream and chocolate were perfectly balanced.
