Game Changer: Variable Temperature Kettle

Game Changer: Variable Temperature Kettle

Did you know different teas need to be steeped at different temperatures and for different periods of time? If you think this is some hippie garbage, try steeping jasmine tea at 200 degrees & tell me how it tastes. Spoiler - it’ll taste like a disgusting burnt mess.

A few years ago, I invested in a variable temperature kettle, and it has been A LIFE CHANGER. When I first started my research on my fancy new electric kettle, I saw flashy Bonavita, which is the kettle with the fancy spout that every hipster recommends. DON’T do it. You do NOT need a $100 kettle. The Epica electric kettle will work just fine.

Pros

(+) The kettle is affordable
(+) It’s sturdy - I’ve had mine for years
(+) It’s easy to clean- thank goodness. WAY easier to clean that the thin spout Bonavita.
(+) It has just the right amount of temp settings.

Cons

(-) It ain’t cute.
(-) People on Amazon say that the walls of the kettle get super hot, but that’s why there’s a handle DUH.

I always am skeptical when I buy new appliances. I’m the kind of gal that wants my stuff to last FOREVER. If you get this kettle, it will be your trusty steed and will not disappoint.

Side note: I originally wanted a kettle where I could dial in the EXACT temperature that I wanted, but deemd that was too extra. The Epica offers sufficient temp settings.
