Hair Review: Briogeo Scalp Revival Travel Set

Dry weather means itchy, dry scalp. I never thought to think about skincare for my scalp, but I guess it makes sense: it’s skin with hair. So I started on a journey to find soothing products for my scalp. First I tried the cheap route of rice water, coconut oil, and castor oil. None of that really worked, so I decided to bring in the big guns. I really like the Briogeo Scalp Revival Travel Set. I bought it from Sephora for $35 and I think it is so worth it.

What I like:

  • It has a crisp minty smell, which is pleasant and feels cleaning

  • When you apply the Scalp Treatment, it is initially a little goopy, but blends in with your hair nicely.

  • The shampoo, conditioner, and treatment do what they say perfectly

  • It WORKS.

What I don’t like:

  • I’m “whatever” about the Dry Shampoo. I could take it or leave it. It works, and I guess it doesn’t make my scalp itchy like other dry shampoos. Ok. Maybe I kinda like it.

  • The shampoo and conditioner do a good job, but they’re really scalp products. You still need a shampoo and conditioner for the rest of our hair.

  • The ingredients seem simple, like witch hazel, tea tree oil, and charcoal. I’m wondering if I can spray some witch hazel on my scalp and call it a day. Maybe I’ll try that and post an update

Would I recommend? Yes- definitely try the Travel Set! If you want to go full-sized product, I would start with the Scalp Revival Treatment and see how you like it.
