Hair Review: Fable & Mane HoliRoots

Hair Review: Fable & Mane HoliRoots

I really wanted to try Fable & Mane because it’s a South Asian owned business, so I was super excited. When I first read about the company, I saw it was inspired by “ancient Indian beauty secrets”. Ook.. so I desperately hoped it wasn’t a scam.

I ran over to Sephora and got the Fable & Mane Discovery Set, which came with the shampoo, conditioner, and hair mask. It all cost $20, which was a price I could stomach.

What I liked:

  • It let me go a few days without washes, and on day 2 and 3, my hair looked excellent.

  • The smell is intense when you apply and subtle when you wash it out. It washes out to give your hair a warm sweet smell.

What I didn’t like:

  • It felt kind of stripping on day one and made my hair kind of frizzy.

  • If you don’t a coconut-y Bum Bum cream type smell, don’t get this.

  • I feel like the hair mask should be way more moisturizing

Would I recommend? Yes, I would try the Fable & Mane Discovery Set if you’re looking for a “clean” hair regimen. It’s affordable, travel-friendly, and you can see if it works for you.
