When you're planning a road trip, it's stressful deciding where to stay. You have to consider getting from point A --> B, drive time, and whether it's actually a place you'd like to spend the night. And for a foreigner, the long names of Icelandic cities doesn't make it any easier to make a plan.

Growing tired of sub-par Indian restaurants, The Snobby Foodie searched long and hard to find the Bay Area's Best Biryani. Her search took her to places so sketchy that she was sometimes afraid to leave her car. One time, she was served an overpriced plate of biryani, and she had to send it back because it was mushy and gross.
Initially, the thought of camping was terrifying. Why would I want to go sleep outdoors on the ground - where there are bugs!?
After many camping trips and a few wilderness meltdowns, I've learned the value of packing certain creature comforts. I mean- I know you're outdoors, but that doesn't mean you have to freeze your butt off.
Okay. So it helps if you're within 3 1/2 hours driving distance of this national park, but this blueprint can be used for other spontaneous adventures as well.
